Podcasting to Read, Write, Listen, Speak,Think & Publish
This is a hands-on introduction to podcasting with Macintosh Garage Band 3 or later and Podomatic. You'll gather tips for getting your students started, incorporating podcasting into your curriculum. Motivate students to read, write, listen, speak, and think critically about their work. Podcasting resources for Windows users will be included although the Mac platform is used.

The purpose of this workshop is to:

  • gain technology skills to use software to make a podcast
  • learn how writing and publishing podcasts meets a number of English language arts standards for reading, writing, listening, and speaking
  • examine an example poetry lesson, Race In Me, that integrates several technology resources that culminates in the creation of a poetry podcast. Click here to view the entire poetry lesson for students.
