Effective July 1, 2009 CTAP Region IV will no longer be in operation. The seven county office of education superintendents in this region have decided to take advantage of the flexibility option for Tier 3 categorical programs in the state budget and will, instead, be using the funding to support services in each county.
The staff members in CTAP Region IV would like to express our gratitude to the educators and business partners that we have worked with during the past 14 years. Please take a moment to view A tribute to CTAP 4.
We are collaborating with the other CTAP regions to shift some of our web resources to the state CTAP Website, which will officially launch in July 2009 and will continue to update content we have developed in the region.
After June 30, the contacts for services previously received through CTAP are the Assistant Superintendents in each County Office of Education listed below. Once the state budget is approved, they will be putting staff into place to carry on the work at the county level.
Alameda County: Naomi Williams Contra Costa County: Susan Magnone Marin County: Susan Spain Napa County: Jan Sabo San Francisco County: Francisca Sanchez San Mateo County: Gary Waddell Solano County: Rob Phillips |

In the spring of 2008, CTAP 4 staff met with representatives from our districts to gather information about educational technology needs. Based on those conversations, CTAP 4 is now offering its professional development (PD) program more locally to school districts. During the summer and fall of 2008, staff met with district leaders to discuss possible collaboration. As a result, workshops and seminars are being held at district offices and school sites throughout the region.
