Using Data at Your School Site Workshops Examine data-use practices in schools that have made significant gains in student achievement through school-wide use of student achievement data. Both elementary and secondary models are studied. Participants will leave with tools they can use in their own schools. Tools:JFTK Best Practice FrameworkFree service from Just For the Kids California (JFTK-CA) that helps focus educators on the practices and strategies that are likely to deeply and positively impact student learning in their schools and systems.The Best Practices Framework features three primary components: Organizing Themes, Organizational Levels, and School System Practices. Each of these were reviewed in the workshop. Five Organizing Themes provide the primary structure for studying the practices of Consistently Higher Performing Schools. The themes are organized by District, School and Classroom levels.The Practices are also organized into District, School and Classroom levels and refer to the principles of a school system's work that are most directly related to teaching and learning.
