Activity - My Maps

Interactive maps that can be shared.

Log into your Google account.
Select "Maps" from the Google account menu bar. (hint: it moves to "more" or sometimes to more choices in "even more"
Once your are in maps.google.com, select My Maps
Click to "Create new map", put your title "5 best "your topic" in the Bay Area" description, and save. Make it public.
Create a tour map by first finding your start location, the place a marker, choose a representative icon, and write your description.
Search for your next location, and when you find it, add it to "my maps" and select your named map.
Next draw your route with the straight line tool.
Click "Collaborate" to share with your blue bird or red bird partner and the teacher. Note - in this case, check the box "allow collaborators may invite others".
When you are finished click 'save' and click 'done' when you are getting ready to export or embed your map
